Kennall Vale lies between the villages of Stithians and Ponsanooth, in Cornwall.
10 miles west of Truro, and 7 miles north of Falmouth

Please note. Kennall Vale Mills is at the upper end of the valley, nearer to Stithians than to Ponsanooth. Do not stop in Ponsanooth, but carry on towards Stithians.

From the A3047 (Redruth to Falmouth / Penryn road).

If travelling south from Redruth towards Falmouth: turn right half a mile before Ponsanooth, at Fiveways / Pelynt cross, signposted for Stithians and Helston.

If travelling north from Penryn to Redruth: turn left half a mile after Ponsanooth, at Fiveways / Pelynt cross, signposted for Stithians and Helston.

Follow the windy road through tall trees, up the hill. After about 1 mile go past some white buildings (dog boarding kennels) on the right-hand side.
After 200 metres the road bends sharply to the right. At this point there is a granite milestone, a faded sign for ‘Laity Moor’, and a left turn, which you should take.
Continue down through mature woodland until you reach a narrow granite bridge over a river. (3 ton limit).
We are on the left, facing the river.

Car-Free Holidays.
There are many lovely walks from the door. The villages of Stithians and Ponsanooth, are both about 1 mile, and have reasonable bus services. There are timetables in the cottages. The nearest train stations are Perranwell (3 miles) and Redruth (6 miles).
